ZEP 7 time tracking improvements: 🕒

  • Gap display: Gaps between two times are now made visible.
  • Day marker: The current day is highlighted for a better overview.
  • Tool tips: Small time entries in the calendar overview are supplemented with helpful tooltips.
  • Keyboard shortcuts: With “+”, times can now be recorded even more easily.
  • Faster date jump: A datepicker makes it easy to switch to previous weeks.
  • Marking in time entries: Project names and comment texts can now be marked and copied.

HR works interface: 🔄

Faster and easier thanks to the new, clearer navigation — so you can get straight to your destination with just a few clicks.

New start-stop stamp button:
Start and stop your working time directly from the top menu bar. In addition: If you are a ZEP customer, this is now also directly linked to a project — simply by pressing a button.

Project approval of times

  • In addition to time-based approval by employees, ZEP now also offers project-specific approval of project times by project managers, administrators or department heads. This function can be activated under Administration>Settings>Project time & documents.
  • With the Invoicing module, project approval serves as an additional verification mechanism before times are billed. Project managers can approve project times, and when an invoice item is planned, ZEP checks whether all included times have been approved.

Projects, employees and customer management: Quick index expanded

  • Under Projects>Administration, Employees>Administration, and Customer Management, the quick index has been extended by “0-9" next to the letters.

Invoicing module: Additional fields with language selection “Spanish”

  • You can now also enter the additional customer fields and the additional project fields in Spanish.

Overtime, absenteeism, vacation module: Create absenteeism only as half a day

  • You can now also create reasons for failure that only allow the selection of “50% of normal working time” and/or “time” as absenteeism. Until now, the “Full day” option was always set explicitly and could not be deactivated.

Resource planning module: Forecast based on scheduling

  • Under Staff>Scheduling: Edit scheduling and under
Project > Scheduling: Edit Scheduling, ZEP calculates the expected turnover within the set time frame based on the planning and the respective stored price table.

Resource Planning Module: Scheduling with Ratial Distribution

  • This function enables uniform and flexible allocation of working hours or resources over a defined period of time. This feature is ideal for projects that require an even distribution of tasks or hours.

Accounting export module: DATEV online interface

  • In addition to the DATEV XML interface, you now also have the option to establish a direct connection to DATEV Online.

ZEP 6.12

REST interface:

Your ZEP is now available in the latest version 6.12. With this new version, we are expanding ZEP with our new REST interface, which enables you to integrate your ZEP into your existing system landscape even more seamlessly and efficiently.

From now on, you have additional options for automation and data analysis and we are looking forward to the practical examples you have implemented. We are constantly expanding this 1st version of the REST interface.

For all customers with the previous “SOAP interface” module, the REST interface is already included and can be found under Administration>Settings>REST. In this context, the module is renamed “ZEP Interfaces” and includes both interfaces.
