While TimeTac can be divided into three modules, ZEP Clock offers an even wider range of additional, optional functions that allow a higher level of customization. This makes it possible to add functions step by step in order to find the right solution and avoid unnecessary costs. Examples of this would be an option for document management as well as the function of work across locations. TimeTac Essential is unable to display these functions, even at an additional cost.
Time tracking, break times
Both ZEP Clock and TimeTac Essential offer the option of working hours via the desktop and corresponding apps to record. Both solutions make it possible to individually store working and break times, including Statutory break times are the default settings. A real-time overview of hours worked, overtime and hours still to be worked is displayed in both systems. In addition, specific activities can be stamped on in both systems in order to track the time invested per task.
Vacation management
TimeTac Essential must also have the option to Vacation recording and administration can be added for an additional charge. Both tools provide a range of features, such as approval of vacation requests, a private vacation planner, and a team calendar. Overtime is also automatically recorded in both time recording systems.
Customizable design
In contrast to TimeTac Essential, ZEP Clock makes it possible to use corporate colors and logos through a customizable design in order to integrate the corporate identity into time recording as well.

Both ZEP and TimeTac Essential have customer support available via telephone and email, which ensures consistently good and fast support. Both providers also offer webinars and additional support material to help their customers use their time recording software.

The decision between ZEP Clock and TimeTac depends on individual requirements. While TimeTac Essential offers all standard functions of time recording software, ZEP Clock is a cheaper alternative that also has these features.
